Springdale Senior Center – Groundbreaking Event

On Tuesday, August 6th, 2024 – Buffalo Builders, in partnership with the City of Springdale and the Springdale Chamber of Commerce, hosted a groundbreaking ceremony and reception for the new Springdale Senior Center. This significant downtown development was approved and funded by Springdale residents with the 2023 Springdale Bond Program.

The new Senior Center will be a vibrant, state-of-the-art facility.

Designed to be a welcoming gathering space, the center will feature a spacious dining area and diverse activities, including pickleball courts, a library, and a game room. It will boast amenities such as a commercial kitchen and host various social events, fostering community and togetherness.

Ensuring a thriving and welcoming home for all.

This facility, made possible by the generosity of our taxpayers, exemplifies our commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our seniors and the downtown environment. Centrally located at E. Emma Avenue and Baggett Street in Springdale, the new Senior Center will be conveniently close to health clinics, pharmacies, and recreation opportunities like Luther George Park, the Razorback Regional Greenway, and The Jones Center. This project marks a significant milestone for downtown Springdale and is a step toward ensuring our community remains a thriving and welcoming home for all.

Brunch & Bingo!

The event, aptly named ‘Brunch and Bingo,’ united the community and current senior residents to celebrate the launch of this exciting project. The groundbreaking ceremony began at the new site on Emma Avenue, followed by a reception at the current senior center. Brunch and coffee were catered by various restaurants along Emma Avenue. After brunch, guests joined senior center residents for a game of bingo, with opportunities to win gift cards valued between $50 and $100 to local downtown Springdale restaurants.The projected completetion date is late Summer 2025.
